A Sesame Street inspired party

When our son's birthday started approaching (rather quickly I might add) me and my wife decided on a Sesame street theme 'cause little man loves his muppets!!

So then I started thinking.  What if we have Cookie Monster cookies eating his favorite thing.  A cookie.
We loved the idea.  A cookie eating a cookie!  ha.  Talk about a big hit!!

All our cookies were gone!!

The cupcakes didn't last long either.

* White cake confetti, with swirled butter cream.
 We did sugared versions of
Elmo and Cookie Monster on top some of the cupcakes too!

 Mmmm-mmmmm-MMM!  Cookie Dough Dip!!
This is so good without being too over-powering and kids LOVE it!

We used a recipe similar to Very Culinary's recipe...

*Served with cinnamon-sugar graham crackers and honey teddy grahams.

....but without the toffee bits.

*Notes for making dip:  Mini chocolate chips work best.  Don't forget the vanilla.  YES, the brown sugar makes all the difference!  This works best if you make it the night before and let it set in the frig.

How about some elmo-shaped sandwiches!?!

We did Peanut butter and Jelly, Chicken Salad & Ham and Cheese
Notes for making the sandwichesWe used an Elmo Sandwich Cutter to create the sandwich.  Don't overload your sandwich because it will flood out the sides and possibly break through the top.  Do a trial sandwich for each type of sandwich to see how the spread reacts when you 'cut' the sandwich. Make sure to NOT use cheap bread as it does not hold together well.

Goldfish...need we say more??
Fish bowl, goldfish, red ribbon and a scoop.  DONE.

We covered a card table with an Elmo blanket.  Red cups and bins from the Dollar Store. Perfect.
  Oscar the Grouch vegetable tray

Broccoli, black olives, carrots, ranch dressing & 2 ramekins.
  THEY ATE'EM UP!!

Elmo fruit tray

Food, drink, bouncy house, Disney Station on Pandora playing. Toys. Games.
Out by the bouncy house we also had a Sesame Street Scene Setter up for the kids to take pictures with.

Kids, friends and family had a blast.

We also had a bubble machine set up at the back door.  The door was left open so people could come in and out.  When they did...MASS of bubbles, ha!!  Soo much fun! Plus, every now and again the wind would take the bubbles and load our backyard with it.  Great idea to have a few of these put out.

Our little guy and his friends had such a blast!!
SUCH a good time, that we decided to share the theme and ideas of our party so
that all our people out there can have a blast with it too.

Happy Partying!!

Another Spring

As this winter comes to a close, we can start to see Spring popping up just around the corner.  The sun shining through the half-naked trees with beams of beautifully-warm light.  It seems that every-other tree is still a skeleton of it's previous self.  Still building-up. Awaiting that first bloom.  Once that initial blossom comes, there's no stopping the frenzy of growth.  Like an emerald wildfire, the leaves will grow and expand.  Ravaging the skeleton with life.

With Spring also comes Softball games, late afternoons spent at the local park with the kids, April showers that bring May flowers, and of course....EASTER!!

We have found that some people don't need quite as many cookies as what we usual offer in our specials.  Well, you spoke.  We listened!  Introducing the first-ever 4 Pack special.

Easter Pack Options:
  • Chocolate Easter Bunnies (4)
  • Carrots - Original  (4)

Wedding cookies - Black & White theme

Eventually we will get around to posting in here again regularly.  We have just
been gung-ho on growth since 2013 rolled around and continuing to focus on quality
customer satisfaction to ensure excellent results.

One thing that we have been working on is wedding cookies.  We're excited to
start working with local vendors to offer a fresh twist on the traditional choices for
weddings, parties, corporate meetings and events, etc...

Here's a sneak peak of some of the cookies that we put together for the
Out of the Box Bridal Expo along with various comments from the night.

Plaque-shaped cookies, monogrammed with scroll design. So many ways to personalize this!
"Oh my gosh, that's so different!"

The cocktail hour that Out the Box put together was so classy and fresh. So many
great vendors that we were able to meet and network with.

Black & White cookie - "Just Married!"
"It's like edible works of art.  So cool!!"

The best part was talking with the future brides and their entourages.
What a great response we got from everybody!

B & W with scrolled corners and sugared rings atop

"I was thinking of doing cookies as my favors.  It's so good to
know there's a local place that does this!"

Elegant white-on-white plaque cookies with sugared rings atop.
"...and you can customize the cookies for any theme!?
I am calling you guys soon!  I'm so excited!!"

The first four of our B & W wedding cookies
Stay tuned.

We will be posting more weddings themed cookies soon!

Hope everyone had a beautiful Valentine's Day!

....and if you didn't, at least it's over.

Pour yourself a glass of wine, look in a mirror, hold up your glass and say..

 "Here's to you!"
